Probably should check the level of the fuel in the tank first.

The wonderful simplicity of vintage bikes…..or the basic lawnmower engine.

Brings back memories of me and my friends not having the most mechanically sound bikes and having to fiddle around on the side of the road in the middle of the night to make things work. Headlights and tailights held on by duct tape. Battery boxes held on by bungees etc…

I arrived at the HD dealership from Panhead world, fresh from the year 1957. I bought a new 2013, SportsterXLC and it wouldn’t start. The lights on the speedo were lit with the key turned “ON”. Pushed the “start button” but got nothin’.
Hey! I got nothing! I was getting mad rapidly. Broke into a “flop-sweat” across my brow.
It took me almost 2-minutes to find the “ON” toggle switch on the right handlebar. Then I got happy.
    End of story.
