Sturgis Full Throttle Saloon To Be Located At The Broken Spoke Campground Property Now Called Pappy Hoel Campground and Resort. In September 2015, The Sturgis Full Throttle Saloon burned to the ground in an overnight fire. The proprietors Michael & Angie Ballard and partner Jesse James Dupree will re-build the Full Throttle Saloon on the ex Broken Spoke Campground now renamed “The Pappy Hoel Campground And Resort”. At this 600 acre location the trio will host RVs and a large number of campers for the first time in the Full Throttle Saloon’s history. This year, a small Full Throttle build will be erected at the original location in tribute to its past history. Just a few miles down the road from the original, the new Full Throttle will be at the ex Broken Spoke Campground on Hwy 79 at the base of Bear Butte and will open on Friday, July 29, 2016.

Motorcycle Safety Awareness Event Set For May 7, 2016. May is “Motorcycle Safety Awareness” Month. This month-long safety message is used to urge motorcyclist to wear proper safety gear and also to remind motorists to be cautious when sharing the road with motorcycles. To bring attention to Motorcycle Safety Awareness many bumper stickers and signs will be given away. The 4 most important advice given to car drivers. 1) Look for motorcycles – because they are smaller they can be hidden in a car’s blind spot. 2) Because of its size, it is hard to judge how far away a motorcycle is. Be extra cautious when making turns at intersections. 3) Never “share” a lane with a motorcycle.4) Never tailgate a motorcycle. Allow more room between you and the motorcycle ahead.

Royal Enfield North America Names ThunderRoad Financial As Financing Partner. Royal Enfield North America announced ThunderRoad Financial as their consumer financing partner.The agreement will provide Royal Enfield dealers with competitive terms for buyers. Milwaukee, Wis., April 25, 2016 – Beginning on May 1, 2016  ThunderRoad Financial will start offering national retail financing to participating Royal Enfield North American dealers. This partnership will provide these dealers with more opportunities to sell motorcycles to buyers across the credit spectrum. Now a division of Eicher Motors Limited, Royal Enfield made its first motorcycle in 1901 and is the oldest motorcycle company with continuous production.

    Damn, there goes the neighborhood – hopefully it is in name only and the same management company is still in charge of operations so the FTS crew does not ruin one of the greatest places to stay at Sturgis.

    The Broken Spoke Campground was Kaput. The crew will be the one of the Full Throttle Saloon.

    I don’t think FTS bought the Broken Spoke Campground. Just exploiting it, renting the place.
