So, is Taiwan a great place to build custom motorcycles? Maybe, except Taiwan crazy regulations that will discourage many builders in the occidental world: all bikes bigger than 250cc have to pass an annual exam after they are older than five years. The bike is compared to the stock picture, and if it looks too different it’s extremely difficult to get a registration. But I guess that Yeh sells most of his work outside his island.

5Harley-Davidson-Dyna-Urban-Cavalry-by-Rough-Crafts-366Harley-Davidson-Dyna-Urban-Cavalry-by-Rough-Crafts-4The balancing act consisting in bringing old school charm while preserving the modern technology of a recently mass produced motorcycle is not easy task. As demonstrated again with “Urban Cavalry” – a Dyna Harley-Davidson – Winston Yeh succeeds again at creating functional motorcycle art. Flawless aesthetics with a dark look awaken by a contrasting one-off superbly designed titanium exhaust system, a HD engine tweaked to 1689 cc, upside down Kawasaki forks by Satya Kraus, a custom 6-piston front brake setup and a few dress-up custom parts from the best aftermarket vendors are enough to turn a boring Dyna into a very desirable city sport machine. .

Asbestos jeans would be needed. Otherwise a great concept. Love the rear fender treatment! Might have to take a torch and saw to my old 2000 Dyna!!!

I wish I own it. Yes, I would lower the exhaust, but except this, it’s almost perfect.
