New Ultima T-VO Twin Cam Replacement Engines Coming July 2013

TVO1TVO2TVO3TVO4The new engine from is a Single Cam Dual Oil Pumps replacement for Twin Cam® “A” Series Rubber Mount Engines. It will not work with TC® “B” applications, (Softail® style.) It fits will be offered in 5 sizes: 100, 107, 113, 120 and 127″. Ultima promises dramatic improvements in durability and performance versus the stock engine. Ultima is also proud to announce that that they have brought much of their engines manufacturing (cylinders, heads and engine cases)to the same location in Pevely, Missouri. TVO5TVO6Main features of the new T-VO Twin Cam include: 1- Will fit stock Chassis. Crank based on our proven 3-piece design. 2- Two Oil Pumps provide 60% more protection 3- Intake Flange distance spaced to accept stock width T.C.® 4- EFI and Carb Manifolds. 5- No special Maniflold required (Air Cleaner Mount will need slight modification. 6- Fits 1999 – 2003 Carburetor FL, etc. (will not work with Magneti Marelli EFI (1992-2003) 7- One Cam, 2 Drive Chains, 2 Sprockets & Cam Support Plate. 8- Totally New Case Design. 9- Stock T.C.® Crank trigger position provided 10- Timing Plug & degreed Crank for accurate Ignition timing verification 11- Reed valve case breathing 12- Fits all Delphi EFI.

The video below focuses on Ultima engine head production in their facility in Pevely, Missouri. There is no audio, only subtitles to describe what is taking place. The machines used include an in-house-modified Haas rotaries that Ultima is using in such a way that it has caught the attention of Haas (the machine manufacturer): this custom fixture allows Ultima to have 8 heads in one machine all with 5-axis movement. This lets the company cut parts without letting the machine sit idle. .

    Thank you Cyril for the write up. I know of no other news source that reaches so many in the industry in such a short amount of time. Our engineers are very proud of their new motor design & just as proud of their new in-house machine shop. The gradual move of all Ultima Motor machining processes to our Pevely Missouri facility has given us an upper hand in quality, inventory & cost control. Because the T-VO runs a single cam design it has eliminated the drive sprockets, chains & tensioners. Timing can be achieved via cam position or crank position. Stock EFI & Carb configurations can be retained from your old Twin Cam A motor when replacing it with an Ultima T-VO. Flexibility, performance & durability is what our engineers main focus has been during the development of this motor & we are excited to see how our customers worldwide accept it.

    Why will this not work with a Magneti Marelli EFI? What would one have to do to the motor / setup to make it work with M&M EFI?

    Have built two chops with Ultima 127″ motors and they have held up very well. These two guys give them hell all the time , and they love them . Thanks for the quality .Job well done!!!

    I have used many, many Ultima motors over the years without issue. In fact I already have a customer who wants one of these new motors for his bagger.

    Just because they machine the head in the US, doesn’t mean the rest is. Someone’s got to prove to me that the rest of the parts and pieces are made here! When you use a tag line like “Born in the USA” I am suspect its because legally they can’t say “Made in the USA” Because to many of their parts are made in a country where communism is king?

    Fitment of 1999-2003? 4 years of fitment, don’t think you are gonna see one these on the road anytime soon

    Ultima is not built here the USA! It’s a marketing ploy! They know that the biker community tries to build and use everything made here in the USA! They are losing business and trying to get more sales.
    It’s complete BS!
