2 Minutes To Assemble A 2011 Victory Cross Country. Really?

From an empty frame to a new complete motorcycle ready to be shipped to a dealer,  how much time it takes a manufacturer? Multiple answers: it depends of the manufacturer, of the model, and I doubt that any of them will tell you precisely, although they all know. To see one complete assembly you can request a visit, granted or not. Or you can watch this video, the process lasting only 2 minutes from frame to crate. Shot by Polaris, showing one of theirbeing built, thanks to a camera mounted on the assembly line.

Wow why the hell did they move operations to Mexico ?? Trying to save 23 or 24 seconds.

@Disturbedvn They did not move motorcycle manufacturing to Mexico, it is still at Spirit Lake with more American made parts than the other American made bike. They moved some ATV assembly to Mexico.

Cudo’s to the team at Victory. It seems they have a sound management team. And they had the good sense to bring Allan Hurd on board after the demise of Excelsior-Henderson. He’s a first class production engineer and many inside the industry consider him to be one of the best, if not the best in the business. Victory’s success also pushes that other American based manufacturer to work harder in their product development area as well. Competition is a healthy thing. Don’t you think?

Allan Hurd is a super sharp guy and the best there is. His employment and his influence were immediately noticeable. Great move Polaris. Keep up the great work Allan.
