The Classic Harley-Davidson Royalite Bublebags Are Back.

Remember the classic Harley-Davidson/Royalite saddlebags of the 50’s and 60’s. They appeared in 1952 on the Harley K models and in 1954 on Panheads and were also popular on Duo-Glides and Sportsters.

They are back in after-market production reintroduced by for use on classic Harley motorcycles but also on modern Softails. The classic Royalite® Plastic Bubblebag is similar to the original in every details. For current Harley models, the Fullback version of these hard bags has extra inside space because they don’t need a back wall recess required by classic motorcycles for chain and axle nut clearance. A large variety of brackts is available including for a few models from Indian, Triumph, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha & Suzuki.

The 50’s were the epitome of Motorcycling.

Does the company make lids only? Bag lids are a hot seller at swaps.
Riders forget to buckle them and the fly off while riding solo, and you won’t know it until you stop and wonder….. “what tha……”
Everyone can stop fretting, I know you’ve all been WORRIED-SICK my failed OIL pressure sending switch to my Panhead, but I received one from Kick-Start® yesterday (616) 245-8991, our small parts, gotta-have-it-now (by priority-mail) antique parts house.
    Outta my way……………I’m building again.

Because Cyril is very influential with his blog I bet you are going to see them back on a lot of 60’s and 70’s bikes.

Cool indeed! And I see they’re thicker and sturdier than the originals, that’s a welcome improvement.
