Brad Pitt. Bruised Ego.

bradpittaccident1bradpittaccident2Sooner or later we will fall. At least one time. Fine, it belongs to the sport of motorcycling. When you are a celebrity it’s one thing to have paparazzi following you everywhere. It’s another one to have your picture taken when you fall from your motorcycle, then flashed in all people magazines around the world. It happened last weekend, and contrary to 1st reports, no Brad Pitt was not rear ended by a paparazzi car following him. Brad just clipped his handlebar/mirrors while trying to move forward between 2 cars stopped at a red light. It happens…Of course, no police report. Just bruised ego. Tow truck and back at home with Angelina. End of the story.

maybe if Mr. Pitt was a real bike rider, instead of “playing one in the movies” he could have eluded the cameras…..

Spoken like a true idiot. You obviously have no concept how many of these papparazzi turds start following someone like Pitt the second he sets foot outside his house. Maybe if he had a badass name like chopperbrad he’d be able to shake them.

Gotta say that if you ride long enough sooner or later you are going to fall down and go BOOM! ….. all one can hope for is that the fall doesn’t leave too big of a mark!

    Over & Out,

maybe if chopperbrad designed, hammered, welded, painted and rode his own-he could have manuvered his way through

although, I’m not a rockstar like you, I wouldn’t know how it feels to be crowded into a corner.

  9. 9 choppertom Oct 29th, 2009 at 11:33 am

my bad, maybe he did build that bike….

  10. 10 J Oct 29th, 2009 at 1:18 pm

Kudos to Shinya Kimura for the bike Brad is riding. Another custom Brad has that is incredible is one by Paul Cox. Amazing detail and workmanship.

I did that trying to roll start on a new chopper in a parking lot, felt like an ass .. It’s cool brad and yes you are a real biker as much as I am..Least you get to see angie later..Nice bike..

To paraphrase what I wrote at my site Sunday, if Brad was so concerned about paparazzi, choosing to ride a hand shift bike with a suicide clutch in crowded downtown L.A. traffic doesn’t seem very smart, especially when you consider all the uncrowded roads in the canyons, foothills and coastal areas around L.A. that make for some excellent riding (I should know, that’s where I grew up).

I can only conclude that he enjoys the attention more than the ride.

Thats what you get when you ride something that has your knees in your armpits!! Justice is served again.

  14. 14 bobx Oct 30th, 2009 at 7:33 am

he fell down. big deal. he didnt build the bike. big deal. he’s brad pitt. big deal.

  15. 15 Oct 30th, 2009 at 7:34 am

If you ride eventually you will fall, the only difference is more people saw him, at least he is riding!

  16. 16 Oct 30th, 2009 at 7:42 am

this happen to everyone even the best one

that nice to see people like him on a road

  17. 17 EBass Oct 30th, 2009 at 10:23 am

Umm, am I the only one here concerned about the well-being of that awesome Kimura custom? Pretty boy actors can be easily replaced. One of a kind trophy winning builds…not so much.

Hope that sweet ride is OK!!!

  18. 18 Oct 30th, 2009 at 11:35 am

why is this site giving the paparazzi a purpose in life?

  19. 19 BB Oct 30th, 2009 at 12:21 pm

Hmmm, So where are these alledged mirrors?

  20. 20 nicker Oct 30th, 2009 at 8:40 pm

    Doesn’t matter who ya are,
A foot clutch in traffic will take some getting-used-to.
    It’s called “paying your dues.”
    Seems to me that’s what he’s doing…. (???).

And getting ragged on when ya screw up is part of the deal………. 🙂

  21. 21 J Oct 30th, 2009 at 8:50 pm

@A1- LOL- you’re right, I don’t know much about bikes- prolly why I’m your biggest customer!

  22. 22 nicker Oct 30th, 2009 at 10:10 pm

    “…you’re right, I don’t know much about bikes…”

Dude, learning the proper nomenclature is part of “paying-your-dues.”
That pict of The Bradster all ass-hole-n-elbows, should be posted on Wickipedia along nex-ta “suicide clutch”……. 🙂

So, no one ever committed suicide while “shifting.”
But a spring-loaded foot clutch can put ya on your ass.
    Hence, “Suicide-Clutch”

Why all the petty trashing on Pitt? – The guys a bike junkie like the rest of us. It just so happens he makes his coin working in film. He has a pretty cool collection that he keeps low key. I’ve heard from builders that he’s a real decent guy – likes to talk shop and be around machines. His night ride ain’t too shabby either.

    Lovely bum!

  25. 25 Nov 1st, 2009 at 4:28 pm

I’ve been riding foot clutch, suicide clutch bikes (not all spring loaded foot clutch are suicides), and regular foot shift bikes for decades. And I still goof up in public from time to time. Big deal, I climb back on just like Brad did. My hat’s off to him.

    leaders never fall
    fallers never lead
    complicated rides fall easier
    keep it simple,stupids.

Why does everyone give this guy a hard time…. ??? he as loads of cash n buys some sweet rides, Paul Cox, Jeff Wright, Shinya Kimura to name a few…shit man if i was in shoes i,d be buying them too….i,d give angelina a miss though

  29. 29 Nov 3rd, 2009 at 2:43 am

I certainly don’t fault Pitt for collecting V-twins, I fault him for boo-hooing about paparazzi capturing his every move on film, then riding a bike that’s beyond his skill level in one of the most heavily populated cities in the country, when all the while there are untold miles of excellent riding roads very nearby that aren’t crowded and don’t have scores of onlookers.

In other words, if he valued his privacy as much as he claims, you’d think he wouldn’t go out of his way to be seen showing off his new toy in crowded downtown Los Angeles. To me this labels him as yet another rich “look at me” wannabe who’s got the money but not the common sense.

  30. 30 SoCal Chop Nov 3rd, 2009 at 7:29 am

OK Guys….lay off. He ate a little shit there, so?… Who hasnt at sometime in their life?

My hat is off to him for suicide clutchin it, thats pretty hardcore, I wouldnt do it, but Im an ol fart. I dont care who you are, ridin a set up like that is beyond the skill level of 99.9999% of anyone riding today, but you guys dont let that stop you, so why should Brad.

That happened in Del Mar on the PCH, not LA, he rides all over the place out here regularly

Thats a pretty bitchin bike too

  31. 31 Nov 4th, 2009 at 1:32 am

“That happened in Del Mar on the PCH, not LA, he rides all over the place out here regularly”

Hmmm, the photos don’t look like PCH to me. These articles all say it happened in Los Angeles:

  32. 32 Nov 4th, 2009 at 11:23 am

Hey I fell over more times even without the foot clutch. I don’t have paparatzzi’s following me to catch it on film so I have to have friends do it for me. Thanks guys!

  33. 33 Reece Nov 7th, 2009 at 4:15 pm

Is it just me or is he wearing a bullet proof vest or the fake version made popular by so many “riding “clubs? If it is so bad that he needs a BProof vest perhaps he should get his body guard to ride with him!

  34. 34 nicker Nov 8th, 2009 at 9:47 pm

    Thanks for the Pic-links…….
    Which beg the question:
What the Hell was so wrong with that scooter that it needed to be trucked home….. (sign of a brake-in-biker…???).

“… .lay off. He ate a little shit there, so?…”

    So….. he’s paying his dues… and take-n-shit for screw-ups is part of that deal…… 🙂
However, trucking a perfectly good scooter home is Lame and deserves max-shit.
He’s gonna have to do better-n-at before he can expect any slack.

By the way, “ol-fatrs” should remember when most if the sur V-twins the young cats were riding, had foot-clutches and tank-shifts. Great stuff, that…… and it’s coming back 🙂
