Brass Balls Bobbers Launches A New Softail Model For $16,995

brassballsbobbers2Because of the success of the Hardtail Model 1 and because some prefer a smoother ride, Dar Holdsworth just launched the Softail version simply called Model 1S.

The bike comes with all the high quality components that are on the Model 1 like the Harley-Davidson Evo 80”. Baker transmission, Wilwood brakes, Excel hand and foot controls, Tauer Machine Belt Drive, D&D exhaust, Suspension seat, Metzeler tires and more. Coming with everything you need and nothing that you don’t for the very reasonable price of $16,995.

    Nice looking scooter…!

A matching number original is gonna cost more.
Reliability will always be an issue
and it will take more maintenance.
Not to mention most dealers and shops won’t work on an original classic.

If ya don’t want the “challenges” of a Pan or Knuckle, this sure looks like a painless way to go about getting a the “classic looks” without all the overhead.

    IMHO, anyway.

    “…Nothing new…”

    Well, it’s a Bobber.
    That’s how it’ s supposed to look……. (???)

By definition and intent, it’s following a well known style/formula.

Originally, the uniqueness about such scooters was in how each individual owner/builder resolved the inherent problems left over from the OEM.

Granted, looking at small details like how some one mounted their Jock-Shit or how they set up their Suicide-Clutch is probably only interesting to those who have done it or are doing it themselves.

But that’s precisely the problem for the “spectators” among us.
And probably even more of a problem for commercial builders who are always under the gun to put out a “unique” product for purchase by those who want something “new.”

On the one hand, many of the really cool little details some of these guys put into their designs are probably not recognized or appreciated by the “unwashed masses.”

On the other hand, if they have to put out so many units a year to remain a viable business, stuff is gonna lose it’s “uniqueness.”

A while back JJ built a way-cool radial engin scooter…. VERY unique, but the second one he builds won’t be.

    You want unique…????
Simple! ,,,,,,,,, build your own scooter.

    Oh ya and FMFPYAAO
